Not-so-obvious causes for a dropping FICO score. Dear myFICO, I've noticed that my FICO score has been steadily dropping over the last few months. In January my score was in the mid 700s and now it's in the low 700s. I don't have any late payments or any other negative marks on my credit report, so why is this happening to my score? I received an alert for a 33 point jump to get to 822 last night, with no idea why. Checked out my latest report from January, and then updated it. The only thing that fell off was my Wells Fargo auto loan that was opened in Feb 2007 and paid off April 2012.
